WDCM has been approved by CODATA as its Task Group on Advancing Informatics for Microbiology (TG-AIM)

World Data Center for Microorganisms (WDCM) has been approved by CODATA as its Task Group on Advancing Informatics for Microbiology (TG-AIM).

TG-AIM is the first CODATA task group in the field of microbiological data research. It aims at developing global uniform data standards and data sharing mechanism, enhancing IT research in relation to microbiology, and promoting microbiological data research and application of the whole world. TG-AIM consists of 16 microbiologists of 8 countries, with Dr. Juncai Ma being its chairman and DDBJ former director Prof. Hideaki Sugawara from National Institute of Genetics and Prof. Kevin McCluskey from the University of Missouri being its co-chairs.
